Evolution Of Life Under Water

70 years into the future life has changed drastically. After major floods across the world enveloped all land.

Human life slowly moved down into the oceans sheltering themselves in deep sea caves that had huge oxygen pockets.

 

As the years went on these pockets diminished which forced them into the open ocean. Most people had makeshift breathing devices that were big and clunky which made it very hard for them to swim. The discovery of a new bio chemical was life changing for some. This bio chemical was made up of bio luminescence and harvested deep sea coral. The new portable syringe was made and sold to people as a one off injection. The effects of this potent chemical were like no other. People found themselves growing fish like scales and fins out of their skin. They also developed the ability to breath underwater as gills protruded out of their necks. This evolved them and helped them ADAPT to the extreme lifestyle.
